Pune Railway Station

Pune also known as 'Punyanagari', is the second biggest city in Maharashtra. It is situated 160 km to the southeast of Mumbai. Pune is known as the 'Cultural Capital Of Marathi People'. The existance of Pune city dates back to 937 AD, where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, 'The Founder Of Maratha Empire' spent early part of his life. Even today, after the several centuries, various structures in the city, describes the glorious past of India. The city serves many marvelous ancient temples, excellent sculptures, bang on nightlife, educational institutes, meditation, yoga and personality development centres. Pune Railway Station:

Pune Railway Station is one of the most important railway station in Maharashtra, which is situated in the city centre and can be comfortably accessible from any part of the city. The rail route between Pune and Mumbai is served by Central Railways, whereas the rail route between Pune and Chennai is served by South Central Railways. Pune Junction is well connected to almost all major destinations like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and many other places of country.

Pune city has two main railway stations viz Shivaji Nagar Railway Station and Pune Railway Station. From both of them Pune Railway Station is preferred by most of the passengers. Because is a major halt for almost all important trains, and it's location is also very prime.
