Nagpur Tourism

Nagpur, the winter capital of India, is a largest city in Central India. It is popularly known as 'Orange City', as it is a home of one of the juiciest varieties of oranges which are grown in several fruit farms, in and around city. Nagpur is also a center of middle point of India, which is identified with the 'Zero Mile' marker, from where each and every distances are counted. Nagpur literally means the 'House Of Reptiles God Nag'. The name of city is derived from the the river Nag, which flows through the city, and is further stamped on the city's postal stamp, with the image of Snake on it. Nagpur is one of the most well kept cities in Maharashtra, with various interesting monuments and natural treasures. The city is made up of neat roads, immense wildlife and landscaped gardens.


At Nagpur you will always remember the time had spent at Futala Lake, and the beautiful view of sunset over the mountain. The city is notable for its rich heritage, due to which it is known as cultural, political, commercial, and industrial centre of Maratha region. It is rewarded with illus history, due to which at present day Nagpur has become one of the power centers of Indian and Maratha politics.The headquarter of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at Reshimbagh, also contributes to the political activities in state.


The City Nagpur is also famous for its educational services, with a renowned university and an elite group of scholar communities which are still shining. It is also growing in the field of agriculture with the highest cultivation of cotton, sugarcane, jowar and spices. Along with all these features it is also a home to several important tourist attractions like Pench National Park, Sri Podeshwar Ram Temple, Dragon Palace, Raman Science Center, Mammoth stupa at Deekshabhoomi, Ramdham, Navshya Ganpati, and so on.
