Panchgani – The Switzerland Of India


Panchgani is a beautiful hill station which is fragmented as Panch which means five as it is surrounded by five hills of Sahyandri and Gani means settlement. It is elevated 1305m above above sea level, and is just 18 km away from Mahabaleshwar. It is also covered by a larger extant of Table-land from the east wind. This small town on the way of Mahabaleshwar is blessed with an acceptable weather throughout the year. It is an ideal weekend destination for a romantic get away. It is also famous for its unpolluted air, as oxygen content in the atmosphere of Panchgani is more as compared to other regions. It is also famous for strewberry farms, and old british buildings.
