Along with hosting numerous tourist destinations, Nagpur city also has a prime location, which improves the importance of City Railway Station. Being a centrally located railway station, strategically it is very important not just in Maharashtra, but also in whole India. As per the survey of Indian Railway, they have selected 22 Indian stations, which will be upgraded to international standard. Nagpur is one of these 22 stations in India.

There are lot number of trains operating from Nagpur Railway Station, it also offers a big Waiting Room and also a separate Retiring Room for passengers. Ram Jhula is one of the most beautiful attraction at Nagpur Railway Station, which will finish it's construction by 2015. It is nothing but a bridge of six-lane-cables. The second phase of adjoining bridge will soon going to finish in next 15 months. This project requires around 150 tonnes of cable.

  1. Nice one. Taking its name from the River Nag, on whose banks the city is settled, it is known for its orange orchards.
