About Nashik:
Nashik is a holy city in the state of Maharashtra, which is situated at the bank of Godavari river. It is also known as Nasik. It is located in the noethwest region of Maharashtra, just 171 km away from Mumbai and 210 km from Pune. It is also one of the four cities where Kumbh Mela is organised. Once in 12 years, Kumbh Mela is celebrated at Nashik. It is the pride of Nashik city. It is also a pavitra place mentioned in Ramayana, where lord Rama along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman spent 14 years of his exile.
